My guess would be that huge power output and great handling plus a CSM number will be as important to the future buyer, as it is right now......... I would guess that build numbers will also have an affect on the market at that time. If I am not mistaken, to date approx. half the amount of Super Snakes have been built 3+ years into production in relation to the two year KR build, and then the many Super Snake power levels and suspension options, which will also command different $$$ levels. Unless I'm wrong, I beleive the debate is about which of them will actually be worth something down the road. If money were no object, I'd be driving a SS, if I wanted to put a car away and not put miles on it, it'd probably be a KR... since i'm a thrifty/cheap accountant type that couldn't let a car sit, I got the SGT... I wasn't trying to start a debate about a debate though, so I will drop it so I can go put some more miles to bring down the value of mine some more! I was told (by a person who works at SVT) that my 2008 725 Super Snake would never be worth any more than the current used price of my specific year GT500 and the sum total of the parts (used) that were installed on my car as part of the conversion because, unlike the KR, it is post title. I have read this in other discussions/debates also. So I am interested in keeping up with reality vs. opinion. Currently a used 2008 GT500 is worth $35K +, maybe even on the minus side of $35K depending upon miles, options, color, etc. No debate, it is what it is. I'm thinking about a SGT convert. That is why I was interested in "known to be sold" auctions. The 605 Super Snakes have been in the mid-$50K's + or - for months, $59K was actually quite good for that GO convert. given the current market. The cars on eBay that are "Reserve not Met" (and have bids) may be real bidders, or may be not. Up until this point I was unable to find a "used" lower mile KR for comparision. All of the KR examples that I came across were new, dealer leftovers etc. It would not be realistic to gauge a new dealer showroom KR against a used Super Snake. I didn't think about Auto Trader. I always look at eBay since it has a world wide audience and we all can see what $$$ are actually bid (real or not). The Auto Trader never shows offers, bids etc. The cars just disappear after a certain length of time sold or unsold, with no "known to be sold" facts. Since the KR I have linked at the beginning of this thread "appears" not to have a reserve price, if it gets no bids at all, that tells me no one is willing to pay even $50K in the eBay world for a used low mile 2008 GT500KR at this time and that realistically a KR (in this condition/miles) is into the $40K's. Its amazing to see so many for sale so soon at a huge loss. I guess the economy is worse than I thought....
