mystang68/05
It's a beautiful sunny day. I get into my GT 500 and head out for the Shelby show in Tulsa. I filled up the tank and start down the road when I notice the damn check engine light on. What a freaking disappointment.. Instead I had to drive the Focus. mystang68/05
Don't know. The Service department will have to find out.
chimazo
You can get a CEL just from not having the gas cap on correctly (and since you had just been at the pump...).
mystang68/05
You can get a CEL just from not having the gas cap on correctly (and since you had just been at the pump...). You are absolutely correct. I just got back from the service center and the code was fuel evaporation system. Apparently the fuel cap can be installed enough to put out the gas cap light and still cause a vapor leak which gives you a check engine light. So give it a twist and make it click.
