KEYSTONE
I have a vintage (1968) shifter knob that I want to use on my 2011 GT500. It has 3/8-16 (coarse) threads. So far, I'm fine with the stock shifter mechanism on the 2011, and don't want to change it. So I was wondering if I can just buy a shifter handle that bolts to the stock 2011 GT500 shifter and yet has the 3/8 coarse thread. I could Heli-Coil the knob to some other thread size but would do that only as a last resort. I think the Ford Racing shifter handle has the 3/8-16 thread, but I'm not sure if it's a simple bolt-up installation to the stock shifter. Also, will I need a new shifter boot? Thanks in advance for the help!
