dhpmike
I'm taking my Shelby to the track on Monday. It's a 2007 GT 500 Any suggestions on what tire pressure I should be running on the track?
Son of GT
Air tempature and track surface tempature are factors in determining the best tire pressure for running your car on the track. You might just want to talk with other drivers that are driving similar weight cars and tire size as your car that day and get a consensus from them. 09 Red GT500
This topic came up in a forum on brakes a few weeks back. Take a look at http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/57063-brake-problems/page__st__40. It was recommended by an experienced track guy to run the stock Goodyear tires at 31-32 cold and then observe the wear pattern. I have observed the tire pressure goes up 7-8 psi after the track session. Also, make sure all is good with your brakes!

Isn't there a sticker somewhere on the GT500 that says you should raise pressures to 40 psi if you anticipate speeds over 150 mph?
