2008vistablue
I got under the car today to install a mid pipe and noticed that there is an oil leak. There is a black tube on the drivers side right above the oil filter. The was a drop on the bottom of the tube. Those guys who had the galley plugs loose on the drivers head.....is this a similar oil collection point? Anyone else experience this and know the root cause? Thanks! Here's a pic.....I guess its right above the passenger exhaust where it bolts on to the manifold. http://i953.photobucket.com/albums/ae17/2008vistablue/DSCN2111.jpg
SicShelby
Where does that hose come to/from to? Check the fittings or the connections... might be something simple like a loose hose clamp.

6-Speed
Is this one of the oil plugs being discussed in this thread (circled)? There is one on each side under the rear most water plug.
SVTSnake
Not sure...when my dealer did mine they said it was on back of head or block. Don't remember which. Was between firewall and engine, not much working room.

twobjshelbys
Oil galley plugs on the back of the heads... The difference between "then and now" used to wuz you know you were in trouble if it didn't leak oil. It meant you were out... Especially 427FE. ShelbyCobra826
Not really helpful, but I thought that I had this issue. When I took it into the dealership, the admitted to having not tightened the oil filter on the 15K mile oil change. No more leak...
