Thank you all for getting together at LRP for a wonderful outing and the chance to meet some great new friends! I have gobbs of pictures from 3 days of corrals, qualifiying, Paddock cruising, and some of the Best Racing I have witnessed at LRP since Paul Newman slammed his Bob Sharp Datsun "Z" into Sam Posey at the Big Bend curve that took Sam out of the race! Jack Roush Jr. took second place in the Continental Tire Challenge GS Race - 2 hours and 45 minutes of pure competition... [ ...And there was (or wasn't) Ilmor. I got the cardboard cut-out set up at his new camper to look pretty realistic (Right?). I knew he had to be around... His Shelby doesn't stray far from home base (be it on wheels or fixed)... Pay no attention to those Cameros on the starting grid, one didn't even finish the race, the other was dead last! The BOSS 302R - the Future, here, now! Did someone say "Under Development?" There were definitely more people at Lime Rock then there was at Watkins Glen for the six hour this weekend. It was a great crowd, see you back next year!
