Glenn Greenwell
Today was one of those perfect days when you just want to drop the top down and cruise around town. I put a coat of wax on my SGT/BJ and wanted to post a few pictures of a couple of minor modifications I have seen on the forum that I completed. Sorry about the file names but the pic transfers went into my Cruise folder. The steering wheel project using the Saleen Kit went smooth as glass and was very inexpensive, around $22.00 for the kit and it looks like it came OEM from Shelby or Ford, I was really happy with the way it turned out. I did not use the adhesive promotor with the 3M tape in the Saleen Kit. Randy & Scotty you were right I made the right choice on the steering wheel emblem selection. I also finally got around to doing the lower front bumper stripe like the GT 500, these SGTs should have come from Shelby with this third piece of stripe on the lower lip. Several members have done this and it worked out pretty good. Do not attempt this project until it warms up, during the winter, vinyl application was a pain to get it to stick. Also with the arrival of warm weather the suspension squeak in the rear sway bar has stopped with no lube, imagine that.... A few pics from today........... Cheers GG
motorjock205
Looking Good! I've considered putting the stripes on the lower splitter myself, but don't know how it would look on the Vista Blue....guess I could try it and always take it off if I didn't like it.... I guess you got my wheels turning to do a GT/SC horn button for myself. By the way your car is looking great and has come along way from when you 1st posted picture of it when you got it with the silver stripes. So glad to see your car looking the way it's supposed to ; congrats on the shine and new look. Scotty

Glenn Greenwell
That's one sweet lookin car! Where did you get the stripes for the lower splitter??? Went to a graphics shop and asked them to match the color and put it on. I wouldn't do this on something that could be seen, but underneath the splitter, I used a razor and ruler to cut a straight line. Make sure you clean it and apply the vinyl with the plastic hot so your vinyl sticks good, if you don't like it, just peel it off. About 15 minutes install time....
