Southbound to Grabberville

As far as rain goes, we have been caught in rain on more than one occasion and the car didn't melt. LOL I prefer not to drive in the rain. It will give you time to bond with the car when you clean it up.

Rain or shine we'll be there, unless Rob calls it off. The tribute to Mark is worth getting the car a little wet and dirty.

Living in the PNW, not driving the car in the rain is FAR too limiting for my tastes. If I know it's going to rain, and I'm just going to work, I'll drive my Bronco. But sometimes I just need to feel the power, and I don't care if it gets a little dirty...

If you drive it it will get dirty; 25K on the clock now. I can get the outside cleaned and detailed in about 2hrs, the real PITA is the under carriage, stainless steal mufflers, aluminum control arms and the nice black rear end. It takes 4 hours to detail the bottom ( got get a hoist)I get the slugs eye view with it up on ramps.

With the weather we have been having this spring in the PSW (PNW for you southerners) I should have ducks for badgeing or at the very least a water snake. :hysterical:

Who would like to join in the convoy to Grabberville? It will be pretty much the same as last year, start out at the Lynnwood P & R, then Tacoma Mall and any others along the way. If you could PM me your name and cell numbers, I'll put together a list. For those of you who haven't done this, its half the fun of going to Rob's Meet & Greet. Watching peoples faces as we roll by is priceless. We'll probably stop at the Chevron close to Rob's house so we'll be fueled up for Rob's cruise. Thinking about leaving Lynnwood @6:30. Yes I know it's going to be early for you Canadian folks, but you know it's worth it. There are 3 hotels a few blocks from the P & R if that makes it easier.

I'm open for any suggestions or other stops.

Thanks, Dave

I've been caught in the rain way too many times. Now I just carry a bottle of shampoo with me so I can take advantage of it.

Dave,

I request to be in the middle of the pack somewhere when we leave Tacoma Mall. This way I can get video of us entering and leaving the rest area. Last year I got up to about 135 or so passing all of you. I don't think I should do that again.

Jim

That's fine, but we never got to see the first pony porn video. LOL Bring your tape from last year and maybe Rob can post them both up. Or give them to me and I can get them posted up.

Well folks no days left and only one night. So here's the plan, meet @Lynnwood P & R 6:30 -6:45. We'll be waiting for the Canadian folks, would like to leave by 7:00. When leaving the P & R we'll gas up and do potty break @the Chevron 2 blocks away. Todd (Skullraken) will be joining us on the fly @Southcenter. Next stop Tacoma Mall, would like to leave there around 8-ish. There is a Krispy Kreme there for coffee, doughnuts and potty break. The rest of the group will be joining on the fly.

A couple of reminders.......sunscreen(think positive), 2-way radios, if you have them tuned to channel 5, cameras, chairs, wash mitts and bring lots of cash for the special raffle. I might need to borrow some. LOL

I will hand out the list with the names and cell numbers.

Also I will have handout fliers for the MCA Grand National Show, info on registering your Shelby for the certificate of authenticity and the latest brochures for upgrading your Shelby and new Shelby products.

Don't let a little rain keep you from attending this event.

See you all in the morning!!

Thanks, Dave and Sherri

Dave, Leon had planned to call you and let you know where we would meet up. However, his mom called and asked him to come and see his dad who is having some health issues. He flew to California this afternoon. We will miss seeing everyone this year. Have fun! Cynthia
