firetruck Posted March 3, 2010 Report Share Posted March 3, 2010 this has been a topic on several forums, vinyl tape problems. this tape is not the best so take care to prevent surface spotting. my 2010 had these spots from the start, but i tried to cover them up. finally got tired an call in the warranty. dealer thinks it's acid rain that causes the spotting. there is a product on ebay, called (aerospace vinyl protectant). my stripes are on order as we speak. my theory is that the clowns that did the make ready did something and just let sit. my advice is to use a good car soap and regular vinyl prep. hope this saves someone from taking their baby to the shop gremlins.
