The Shelby is loaded on the train (train car number ETTX90335) and currently in Logparchi Ill - headed for Orilla Washington. Should have the car by the end of next week. Maybe they can hook up and make little Shelby GTs. Try and be there when the car comes off the truck to make sure they don't mount the front license plate frame. Even though they say they won't, I have seen it done twice now. Also if you want your stripes painted on, I can get it done with a clear coat for $1500.00. Just let me know. Your gonna love this car. cugotit Posted January 14, 2007 Report Share Posted January 14, 2007 Just remember the outside temprature should be 40 deg. or better because of those soft Goodyear tires. I had taken mine out on a cold day and noticed more and bigger rubber dust on my rear bumper. I won't be going to the banquet, I usually get off to late. KMC, Did yours leave on the 9th? If so our cars are on same train! I know there is another Shelby on same rail car as mine. A Red with white stripes. My car is getting close to logparchi, Ill but not quite there. They will most likely have them all come together?? My scheduled delivery is 23rd Its Orillia, WA. How far are you from there? Are you going to be able to pick yours up from railyard? I have a video of me picking up my last one from there. Very curious if our cars are on same train... Nice stable mate to the Ford GT! The car was loaded on the train last Tuesday or Wednesday and should be delivered by the end of the week. I live in the Bremerton area so I'll probably just pick the car up at the dealer. KMC, your car was just seen in Crawford, Wisconsin racing two other Red Shelby's! so far looks like mine is in the lead. lol pretty sure plant was still shut down on Jan 1 as that was day mine was scheduled for build too but was actually the 2nd. Approx 6-7 days from AAI plant to chicago then pretty fast until it gets to ND slow going after that. They always lose 2days from schedule once they hit ND area until Washington. Mine and KMC's Shelbys just passed through Bay City, Wisconsin. soon going through MPLS, MN. Scheduled time is Renton/Kent area on thursday but I say it will most likely be early saturday morning. which means if all goes well I should have my car by a week from this thursday. Plans in that part of country change often so I would guess some time on saturday. Should be unloaded and ready for delivery to your dealer on Monday. (my guesstimate) I still have no idea which dealer will be delivering my car! thought the PSDS was bad waiting but the waiting without konwing which dealer is going to deliver it is not fun. I called the voice activated line on Weds and was told my car was complete and through quality control. The person I talked with was actually looking at my car. He told me he would expedite its move to rail. He told me to call back today and confirm. When I called the attendent was able to give me the rail car number. Estimated trip time 13 days.
