dbeson
Hey Don, thanks for posting the pic! I look forward to seeing your ride in person Thursday! Wes You are welcome Wes. I just hope it doesn't snow. Getting chains on is a real bugger Since Wes is going to get to see her in person, here is a recent inside shot that has quite a few billet extras to view. Some like them....some don't. I however considered them a must to break up that "total black" thing going on. I am also installing a set of Roush quarter window louvers this weekend. The are at the paint shop as I type. Yea, I know...I just can't leave well enough alone. BTW...it blew me away when I found that the rear seats fold down! That's huge and much needed with space hog of the Shaker 1000 subwoofer. Don
clink
Hi all, I picked mine (#56) on Feb 19th in Las Vegas. I was the first to do the Museum Delivery Program and Amy's folks really rolled out the red carpet for my wife and I. It was an experience of a life time, complete with about 75 photos. We drove our black/manual/shaker 1000/all options back to Colorado, and I have 1600 miles on her already. What a sweet ride and the folks at Shelby are first rate. I still swap emails with many of them and they are so kind and helpful. If any of you get a chance to get out to their facility, check out the black marks in front of the door. I felt the need to leave a little of me behind. Don [/quote Nice car Don, Let's see some more pics........... CLINK

For those ofyou looking to drress up your engine compartment a bit, check out these strut tower caps. I think they are a must myself. There is a bit of work to getting them to fit flush with the strut tower, but well worth the effort. You will need to cut the strut bolt on top by about 1/4 inch, and you also need to cut the 2 bolt tops that are not securing the brace (not quite a 1/4"). You will see what I mean once you set the caps in place and see the space. Once you are ready to install, just use some ATV silicone inside the caps and you are done. It took me about an hour. I drove my back from Las Vegas and had a ball. Ok, here is what you need to know. Don't just put her on cruse control. The engine needs to go through it's mid and low RPM ranges for a spell. 30 minutes into the trip back home, I started to pull off the highway. My wife asked, "why are you getting off the highway so soon". My answer was simple....BECAUSE I CAN! I immediatly pulled back on and ran through the gears...what a rush. Now, do this every chance you get and the ride will be just that more fun! I think I counted close to 20 of these until I got back to Colorado. Good fortune to you Larry. What a great trip. Even had a couple of people take pics. on their cell phones as I passed them. It was 1,026 miles back and enjoyed every mile. Weather coming back was near 80 deg. Great cruising weather. Larry

Anything else? I'm interested in similar bling. Can you tell me where you purchased it and was it pretty simple to install? Thanks, Dave Hi Dave. Everything was quite simple to install and makes a huge difference on the inside look. I used several sources. Here are their links. Happy shopping! Also check out the Roush quarter window louvers. They turned out sweeeet and are a must in my opinion. No drilling either! Also, the billet shorty antenna looks great and fits over the gt500 cover I got from Ford. Let me know how it turns out. I also just did the clear bra.....another must. Just make sure they don't try to go over the stripes. The clear bra needs to go on in pieces and butt up agains the stripe seams. Another addition was the LoJack security system. Steal my car and I will HUNT YOU DOWN!!!! I hope this helps you all. If only it wasn't blue with white stripes, then I wouldn't want to show you my "second car". Please forgive me members. I know this is a Shelby GT forum, but I still think it's OK to show their garage-mates. It's kinda cool to see what parks next to our new Shelby's....don't ya think? I wanted to put 40 years between them (she is a '68), but I couldn't wait and pass up a '07 Shelby (call me weak). I just brought her out of the winter storage and can now rotate my ride to work. Hey, the 80 mile round trip to work is what gets me up in the morning And I promise, no more "other car" pictures from me. Don
