07SGT4957
Has anyone who has put 4.10 ring and pinion gears in their rear axel had to re-calibrate the speedometer or change the tune in their car at all? I am just trying to cover my bases and understand what needs to happen before I pull the trigger on this mod.
kahmann
Yes you need a tuner or a trip to the dealer to make the change. It's very simple to do with an SCT. Ken

Not hard to do if you or a friend has a programmer. You don't have to change the engine tune, but it can help a little more if you haven't done it yet. There is quite a bit of info here already on the site. Search for 4.10 gear swap or gear swap. You will find a bunch of information. 4.10's will make a fairly big performance difference over what you now have with the the 3.55's.
