shack
Scheduled to be in Las Vegas Dec 14-19 and planned a trip to the Shelby shop on Thursday the 17th. After that tour, taking the Dam Tour, damn it! Anyone else in town next week? Any interesting events? And judging by some other threads and Vancouver 2010, the Olympic Gardens is on the list. 2010KonaBlueGT
Scheduled to be in Las Vegas Dec 14-19 and planned a trip to the Shelby shop on Thursday the 17th. I'm planning on being there on Friday the 18th for a tour, weather permitting (if it snows over Vail Pass, I go south!). And providing I can get my wife and grandson up and on the road from Mesquite early enough to make SAI by 10:30 a.m. (about 90 minutes away). thewheelman
Make sure you make the tour! It's great, as are the folks at SAI. Make sure you sign Carroll's wall. I would also suggest that you drop by the Imperial Palace (on the strip) and check out the auto collection there. It's a very nice walk through with some fantastic cars.....maybe, $2 each entry.....I don't remember, we had a coupon from the hotel...... Have fun! shack
Well, finally got back after a few airline cancellations and delays from the Northeast storm. Went to Shelby on Wednesday and it was a good tour. Wish they had a '69 GT500 (there was space so might have been out for work). Got to sign the wall and bought some stuff. Really enjoyed the Auto Collections and got to the grand opening of the Aria Casino (awesome fireworks). And if you have the chance to eat at Red Square in Mandalay Bay, the Stroganoff is incredible. shelbymotorsports
Wish they had a '69 GT500 (there was space so might have been out for work). Wasn't there a burgandy colored '69 Shelby in there? Drawing a blank if it's a 350 or 500. Steve

Steve The missing car had a gas leak and was in the shop for repair. It must'a been a 500 because the 350 was there. I can't remember what car the tour guide said was in the spot. There is a pic of a red super snake on the wall behind the spot and I did ask if that was the car missing. He said no and told me what it was but I can't remember. Hmm, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure there was a red/maroon GT500 tucked back in the corner, along the side wall past the GT350.
