shelbang
Re: Shelby GT Does anyone know if the lower side scoops behind the doors are functional or not on the base/standard car ? It may be an option with the brake package ?? Does anyone know ?
Grabber
The side scoops are non functional just like the ones on the GT/CS that My wife has.
ShelbyPilot
......but there is a rear brake duct kit coming from SAI. I hope that will make the side scoops functional. I suppose they could draw the air from under the car or elsewhere but I'd rather see functional scoops.

I suppose they could draw the air from under the car or elsewhere but I'd rather see functional scoops. I had those in my '67. The only complaint I had was that some sand- or an occasional road runner - would build-up in the ducts, and had to be cleaned out periodically. Are there any more details regarding the mechanics of the ducting (ie: screens, etc) to keep junk out?
