kahmann
The Roush's have consistently been underrated on advertised power. Simple upgrades like a pulley, intake, tune on that TVS-5.0 goes a hell of a lot longer way than on a stock SGT.
dave c
Googled Roush P 51, this is the only stock one I could find on a dyno. Which I think is in line with a 510hp motor. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...22138924942605# Now here is one after its been tuned http://www.sloppymechanics.com/archive/200.../entry_449.html
rush_junky
+1, I just bought the FRPP 62mm and have not installed it yet and I'm sure not expecting 50hp or anything close, maybe with a pulley swap and race gas. What is amazing is that motor is moving enough air for the stock TB to be that much of a restriction. I was planning on having back to back pulls done when I have mine installed, but I'm not expecting much of a gain. Can't wait to see the before/after dynos !! TurboShelbyGT
Very interesting. We build turbo 2 liters and offer a throttle body upgrade to the stock throttle body for those cars. The stock plate is 59 mm if I remember right and we take it to 65 mm. That increase on a 350'ish whp EVO is about 15 whp. It would be easy for me to modify the stock throttle body and put twin 62 mm plates in it..........might make for a very interesting dyno test before and after. I'll have to put this on my to do list. Do any of you have a stock 4.6 throttle body you want to sell cheap?
