Caught in a Snow Storm...Again

Again, we get caught in a snow storm.

First one was comming home from the Mustangs Across America Tour 2009.

The second happened just yesterday. We took our son to see the OIT campus and get a tour in Klamath Falls OR. We were in the Jeep when we discovered an overheating problem. We were only 2 miles out of town, so we came home. We then took the Shelby instead. It gets better gas mileage than the Expedition. We left, and no problems with the weather on the way down. During the tour, we noticed it had started snowing. The picture of the car is it parked at OIT when leaving for home. The other pictures of the road on the way. It was that way for many many miles.

The Shelby did great not having any snow tires on it, but it sure is dirty.

Glad to hear you guys made it home safely with the Shelby!!!

As you know, these cars aren't really what you want to find yourself using for snow driving.

This is a picture taken on I-84 in Eastern Oregon, June of 2008, while on our way to the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup.. Not many snowplows around in June. We ended up following the RV in the picture all the way to the Summit at about 15mph. This was lucky for us because it allowed us to follow in the tracks with our summer performance tires.

Here's a shot taken the next day somewhere between Salt Lake and Loveland, Co
