MKM Racing Promotions is very excited to announce what we hope is a new permanent racing venue in Mojave, CA. We have reached an agreement with the Mojave Air and Space Park, a private airfield, to host our Mile Shootout event on March 6, 2010. This facility features a 12,000’ runway which will allow for very fast speeds and a comfortable braking margin. Since Mile Shootout racing is already very popular in Texas, the Midwest, and the East Coast, we look forward to being the premiere site for Mile Shootouts in the West.

This is great news. Mojave is about 1-hour from where I live. I am very familiar with the area. I'll be there. Thanks for posting.

The strip was too far away from us to get a good videos, there was around 12 GT40's a ford cobra jet and 1 shelby, and about 100+ cars, very cold and windy, I left at noon because I was very sick, by far the fastest car the was a 1969 red camaro, he was up in the 200mph range, I think they called it Big Red, anyway I will be there when the do it again.
