2sharpie
I'm sure this another one of my dumb questions.....but what is the difference between the "rail" and "convoy" (which my Shelby is) method of transportations?? Is one "better" or faster than the other?? Thanks........
zeindog
From my understanding they are all shipped by rail. Mine said convoy but came by rail. What convoy means is the vehicle leaves the factory on a transporter and goes to a railroad distribution point where it is loaded onto a train. If it says rail then it leaves the factory by rail. Baby Gorilla
Yeah, that sounds right. Mine said convoy, but in reality it went by rail to Maryland and then was trucked to Virginia.
tdusseau
Mine says rail, however mine went from factory via truck to rail head. I know this because I have the shipping co. info that car was released to prior to rail trip. And she is sitting in the rail yard as we speak. I went to visit her last night. She was sitting between an GB Gt and a purple Ford ranger. Lot is guarded 24/7 and secure, so I figured that this is better then sitting at the dealership..lol Dispatcher is going to release it this friday.
