Thanks Chris and Adam......this was an incredible 2 days....got back late last night....

Michael did fantastic......over the 2 days, he trimmed 21 seconds off his first lap time.

and there were race prepared cars in every run group practicing for this weekends races,

making things very interesting......

I saw 125 on the front straight........never ran off, never spun......

the 96 Mustang I gave Michael for graduation held up very well.

SHINY SIDE UP!

It was a drivers education event, took numerous classes to go along with my 8 driving sessions....

classes were taught by a guy with over 5000 laps on the track (Thunderbolt)

and there was no speed restrictions......

Got invited to an event in October.....One day on Thunderbolt, one day on Lightning,....

this could get interesting........

That sounds great! I am doing a track day down at Summit Point, Shenandoah Circut in late October (they call it a "PDX"); just before that happens I have my brake upgrades installed.

I put the drilled slotted rotors and new tires on before my event,

the stock pads didnt have any measurable wear after 14.5k miles, so I left those on, I was fine.

I also concentrated on smoothness and consistency on the track and didnt push for all out top speed

(after the first couple of sessions, I got that out of my system....)

Looks very similar to our schedules, you are going to have a blast Bob, enjoy.
