GR40Freak
So after ten years I'm finally putting my 1965 Fastback together. I'm making a street legal track car. So here comes the sacrilege... Its going to be powered by a 650HP LS7!! The plain and simple fact is, the engine is simple (has less moving parts than a Ford 4.6 or 5.4) , extremely lightweight (435lbs.), fuel efficient, compact and very reliable. GR40Freak
Are you still working on this? I am. Just finished the roll cage and the body work. Time for sanding and blocking and sanding and blocking, and more sanding and even more blocking and then eventually a few coats of Ferrari Grigio Titanio. Car was recently in Hot Rod magazine. http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/hrdp_1005_hot_rod_project_builds/1964_chevy_nova_competitive.html Colin I hope not! Putting a piece of crap Chevy into a Mustang... As soon as Ford can produce an engine capable of the output, reliability and WEIGHT of a built LS7 I'll install it. Until then the LS7 stays. Matts
I had to triple take that LS7 lol... I still can't believe it, but I understand the weight to power ratio especially for a road racer. Can't wait to see this beauty finished.
