bigZ Posted July 14, 2009 Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 hey guys, I ordered my car on 5/20/09 and has been on material hold since, i just got off the phone with a ford customer rep. and eventhough its still on material hold, he said that it was about to be serialized? the last update on the computer was posted on july 10th is that some bs, or does it mean that i'm getting closer to getting my vin# finnaly, can someone who is familiar with this process please shed some light?? it would be verry helpfull! : ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks. yes i called Ford Customer service and aslong as you have your factory order sheet, they'll ask you for your name, dealer code, order number, and the model code, and they can look your order up, its updated weekly. They wanted either a Vin number or the dealer's sale code, body style code and order number This is the only definition I can find. Serialize Date: The date that MS&S transfers the order to MP&L and the VIN is created.
