Several NY Job Opportunities

My wife is a recruiter and just received 3 job postings to work on filling with a major CPG company in White Plains, NY. Two positions are for Brand Directors and the third is a Media Brand Manager. I have posted up the full job descriptions over on Stang M afia (I'm just too lazy to post up everywhere, so PM me if you want the links to those posts..........).


These are the first job postings she's gotten in a while, so maybe a sign the economy is starting to shake off it's rust??

Position: Brand Director

Compensation: Location: New York

Relocation: NO

Our Client is one of America’s premier beer importers and the US subsidiary of the world’s largest brewers.


GROWTH IS THE MAIN THEME WITH OUR CLIENT. They are about growing their business, their categories and the image of their brands. They are about growing their people in terms of development both personally and professionally.


They currently have a Brand Director, role open in their Marketing department. This individual is responsible for managing all brand activities including brand strategy and execution, creative content, media merchandising negotiation, media placement and public relations for The Brand. Lead and champion brand communications (TV, Advertising & Packaging) creative development process. Ensure alignment with regional sales to drive expansion of the newest brand in their portfolio.


In addition, incumbent will be responsible for the following:


• Brand strategy and execution – Lead planning and day-to-day operations of the brand

o Actively manage incorporation of Brand strategy throughout their system


• Creative content – Develop creative content (includes digital and interactive content)

o Lead agency relationship

o Drive Brand Health thru creative executions


• Consumer Activation – Envision and design consumer events and sponsorships

o Create relevant consumer activation around the brand

o Manage agencies, including performance measurements and feedback


• Media merchandising negotiation – Negotiate merchandising opportunities with media partners

o Work with agency to secure merchandising opportunities


• Media placement – Place creative content with media outlets in the most efficient / effective manner possible

o Provide oversight and approval to media agency

o Drive brand strategy through media placements


• Public relations – Drive brand-specific public relations activity

o Provide oversight and approval to PR agencies


Qualified candidates must have the following:



Education: Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred

Experience Required:

• Advertising content development

• Brand Management

• Events and Sponsorships

• Media

• POS Development: Experience preferred

• Public Relations: Require minimal experience

• Research: Require minimal experience


Work Experience: 8-10 years combined experience in any of the following areas:

• Brand Development / Brand Management

• Managed Agency and creative process for TV required

• Appreciation of 3 tier system.

• Clear demonstration of leadership, team commitment and influencing others

• Excellent marketing skills but is sales friendly, understands the selling process
