2007-2009 GT500 PRODUCTION NUMBERS

Recommended Posts

Okay, all...I thought I'd share my OCD with the rest of you! :hysterical:

Attached is a PDF file of an Excel spreadsheet (because the site won't let me update the Excel file) with the breakdowns, by both interior and stripe color, of the 2007-2009 GT500s. There's also a summary sheet for all 3 years combined.

Verdict?

17,669 coupes

5,320 convertibles

22,989 total 2007-2009 GT500 production

Also known as "limited," right? :banghead:

Thx for the update

from looking at the numbers it could of been worse, 7000 and a change for each year is not too bad. and i still do not see gt500 when cruising Woodward on clear weekends, one or two every now and then and i have not seen any in my commute to work since very long time. So we are in good shape for our body style numbers.

Thanks for posting! That's a lot lower total than I was expecting! :happy feet:

A couple of years ago I heard numbers of 30,000 being thrown around for the 3 year run.

I've been keeping a log since JAN 2007 and in 2 1/2 years I've only seen about 15-20 on the road.

I record the date, location and color combo.

MadManMoon,

Great job and thanks for the numbers on the 2007 to 2009 Shelby GT500s. I have a question needing clarification. I assume these numbers are from "ALL" Shelby GT500s produced by Ford for model years 2007, 2008 and 2009 -- not necessarily the final product sold. What I mean is that Ford produced Shelby GT500s in 2008 and 2009 to be sent to SAI and converted into Shelby GT500KRs and as such were sold as GT500KRs. So, I assume (please confirm) that the 2008 KRs of 1,000 and 2009 KRs of 746 production numbers include the total of GT500KRs (1,746).

Also, since all Super Snakes were sold as GT500s and then sent to be converted to the BEAST of a Mustang -- they are in the totals.

If I have done the math right...2007-2009 GT500s totaled 22,989 (17,669 coupes and 5,320 convertibles)

1967-1970 GT500s (including KRs) totaled 6,714 (5,659 fastbacks and 1,055 convertibles).

Just wanting to make sure I had an apples to apples comparison.

Again thanks for the great information!!!

Good question! I'm not entirely sure if the 2008 and 2009 production numbers include the 1,746 KRs. I don't think so, because for example the Brilliant Silver color for the 08-09 KRs isn't included on either the '08 or '09 totals. And I think the red was Colorado Red vs. Torch Red. So I'm thinking the 1,746 are in addition.

Anyone else know for sure?

I wonder who the lucky guy is with the 2009 Grabber orange with no stripe . The chart says 1 of 1....

That would be me.

I was so surprised when I read that stat. I bought the car from Crest Ford in Flat Rock, Michigan (dealer is literally across the street for the Ford plant) after the person who ordered it backed out of the deal.
