twobjshelbys
2008 Barrett-Jackson Shelby GT Convertible Automatic SGT2247 Kenne Bell 500HP Signed by CS - AB - CJ - SD That was my car... Original sigs were Carroll, Amy, Steve and Craig. There are pictures of both dash panels posted here on the forum. Gary Bennett's sig was added at some point after the original round. I believe these (2247 and 2229) were the only BJ SGT to have all 4 sigs. Car was sold to private party in Florida who did cosmetic mods. He took it to Barrett Jackson where Ele Chesney bought it. She gave it to Craig who then donated it to his own foundation where it sold for charity. Both of my cars ultimately went to charity at BJ. The car was purchased by Rick Hendrick (NASCAR owner) who obviously sold it at some point. I had permission from my wife to buy it back but never made the call to Hendrick's dealer network. I'm glad someone got it and will hopefully drive it. Steve can confirm but I believe this was the first BJ SGT to get the GT/SC conversion, and among the first of the general GT population. I was originally going to get the Paxton but they couldn't get emissions so waited for the KB. The Whipple came a little later. There is more on my cars here on this forum... Here is more about 2247: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php/topic/79132-08sgt2247-coming-to-barrett-jackson-scottsdale-2013/

BlackSGT
Dropped off my black, manual 07SGT5246 to Sean Hyland last week. Getting a polished KB installed along with other upgrades like a single aluminum drive-shaft, front and rear geometry upgrades, as well as MPSS 295's on 10" rims for more traction (I'll need all I can get). Hope to have it back next week, just in time for the warmer weather Anyone aware of any other GT/SC's in Canada?
Shelby Nick
Congrat's on the new upgrade! The KB is an awesome blower with lots of power and looks good too! I just tracked the car at the Bash for two days with no issues. Have fun!
William Rodgers
I wonder how many Registered GT/SC's are out there total, I would bet under 200. Pretty exclusive!!!
springer
120 tops. 2007-2008 models.

drzeeba
When I picked my 2008 CSM: SGT0312 with SC upgrades from SAI in August of 2014 they estimated that there had been less than 20 - GT/SC convertibles conversions completed at SAI. Without a published registry or discontinuation of the package availability at SAI, from what I am told, there's no way to know for sure.

It's probably under 100 total.
springer
Not even close to 100 GT/SC convertibles. From conversations I had a few years ago with someone in the know at SAI, it wasn't even at a dozen yet.

shelbytexan
If they are that rare then maybe I ought to keep mine but I'm thinking about selling it. I don't drive it much anymore and I've lost a lot of interest in it. What is a 2007 coupe gt/sc with polished whipple and 16,000 miles worth with quite a few extra's on it. tmast5481
I just picked up a 2007 GT/SC a few days ago and I gotta say I love it! I do have one question about her if any of you guys could help. When I open up the throttle, let's say a 3rd gear pull, I experience some backfire like she kinda falls on her face. Would this be an indicator of blowout?
William Rodgers
You get this before redline? Very odd, I would have it checked out, just be careful who you bring it to.
dh777
If you're on it hard it is probably traction control. When traction control it on, it will change many parameters including the engine to keep the wheels from spinning. Just be careful if you take traction control off. Make sure you heading straight or in an open area or it can get away from you if you are not use to it.
JeffJ
I don't think that I've ever posted in this thread. Mine is a Paxton (done at SAI LV) equipped GT-H/SC. Ford Racing Aluminator 4.6, CNC Heads, Hot Rod Cams, RevMax 3,500 converter, custom intercooler, 4.10 gears, TCI ratchet shifter. I'm only aware of 3-4 GT-H/SC's. tmast5481
Yes I'm getting this before redline, thanks for the reply. So pretty much when I open in up its backfiring I took traction control off and I still get this. I'm not throwing codes though? Is there any specific place I should take the Shelby? And should I contact Shelby directly?
tmast5481
I don't think my reply posted but, no I'm not red lining and I've tried to take the TCS off and I still get this. I was thinking I could call Shelby?

tmast5481
Hey guys just updating you. Nothing I tried worked on stopping the backfire however, I was turned to a specialist that works with the majority of the Shelby's in my area. He's going to go out with me on a run tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a better guess at the problem if not the problem itself. I'll keep ya'll informed on what I learn, hopefully no one else gets this issue.
