GT500-07
 SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea threatened Wednesday to wipe the United States off the map as Washington and its allies watched for signs the regime will launch a series of missiles in the coming days. Off China's coast, a U.S. destroyer was tailing a North Korean ship suspected of transporting illicit weapons to Myanmar in what could be the first test of U.N. sanctions passed to punish the nation for an underground nuclear test last month. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090624/ap_on_..._koreas_nuclear

Thank you to ALL you Obama Kool Aid drinkers for voting for such a fine Socialist that is going to destroy this country. Heck he is going to be able to do something that Japan & Germany could not do with in his first year. You have got to be proud of YOUR president. I support our President and I'm a VERY PROUD AMERICAN! Obama is a socialist pig that is trying to make us into a third world country, with himself being the king. Less federal government is what we need, not more. God, Guns and Country..... :happy feet:
ilmor
Let's wait and see what Obama actually does about North Korea. He did state that he was "moved" by what's happening in Iran. He seems to be much more preoccupied with pushing his socialist health care agenda, but hopefully behind the scenes he is concerned about real issues. odgreen001
Obama is only concerned with pushing his socialist agenda. He only spoke out about Iran because of political pressure. He can't wait to see the tyranical Iranian government officials he invited to the White House for some burgers and dogs at the 4th of July celebration. Asswipe goes around bowing and apologizing to dictatorships around the world and tries to alienate our strongest allies. Throws money around that we don't have and is trying to take more of our money for government run health care. The government basically owns GM, controls Chrysler and several major banking institutions and is pushing to maintain control of them, wants to set pay scales for previously private companies. This doesn't sound like the United States of a few hundred years ago, let alone two years ago. Sounds more like the cold war era USSR, or some third world dictatorship. I guess if Chavez jokes about Obama being even more to the left than himself...we have something to worry about. Be responsible....wake up and smell the coffee. socalwrench
Healthcare issues won't really matter- if there are nuclear missiles coming our way. I am honestly concerned about this. How can we fight two wars? Can you imagine if China sides with these lunatics? It doesn't matter that we have a newbie as President- we need to act. How can we fight two wars? Can you imagine if China sides with these lunatics? It doesn't matter that we have a newbie as President- we need to act. I'm 49 years old and served 20 years in the military. I spent a total of about 5 1/2 years in S. Korea, with the first tour from 80 - 82, was there TDY in 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, a second tour from 90-92 and have been on vacation there twice since 98. During my first years over there, Kim Il Sung (Kim Jung Il's father) was their Great leader. He threatened us as well, as he did S. Korea. Then his dumbass son takes over, and it is the same crap over and over. Just empty threats. In a few years Kim Jung Il's son will take over...if there isn't a military coup, and the cycle will continue. The man is a hard core dicatator that loves porno and women...do you think he will actually take a chance on losing that by starting a war? Only if he is actually out of his mind...meaning a genuine mental dificiency. In short...don't worry too much about N. Korea. They may sponsor some terror, but they are not going to send one little ass nuke over here, because Kim knows we will wipe his ass off the earth. My two cents anyway. Don't worry about two wars...we are already fighting two wars last time I checked. This president is not going to start another war with Korea or Iran. What concerns me is tht Israel might bomb Iran...I certainly would if they threatened me the way they have Israel. If that happens, then we can count on Obama doing 1: Not a damn thing, because he doesn't want to meddle in Iranian affairs; 2: do the right thing and back Israel, which is our strongest ally in that part of the world...and probably the only country that actually likes us. AstroDan
Are you aware of how the healthcare reform effort has been conducted thus far? Obama has set down some principles, and expressed what he would like to see, but unlike the Clinton's has left it to Congress to formulate what the final plan will be. That's why Congress has been holding hearings etc., so not sure where you got the idea that Obama is "preoccupied with pushing his socialist health care agenda" because he's left that up to the Democrat and Republican Congress to work out and send a bill to his desk, with one go/no go requirement, that's paid for and doesn't add to the current deficit. Democrat and Republican Congress? Is this the bi-partisanship that Obama talked about... "3 or 4" Republicans is bi-partisan" http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/...care_97156.html QUESTION: (inaudible) pass health care, given the fact that you have reconciliation as an option in October with 51 votes to pass it. REID: Public radio is coming in loud and clear. We want to do a bipartisan bill. That's not saying we need half the caucus to come with us. We need about three or four Republican senators to join with us, to have a bipartisan bill. That's what we would like. That's my preference. And we're going to continue working on that. I just completed a very, very informative, important caucus. We spent a lot of our time talking about health care. And there was -- not a single senator said, "Forget working with these clowns. Let's just go ahead and go to the reconciliation." Everyone there, liberals, moderates, conservatives in my caucus said, let's try to come up with a bipartisan bill. We're going to continue to go down that road.

You're joking right? LOL All I keep hearing is how the democrats are running the whole show behind closed doors and not allowing any republicans in. Don't kid yourself. Obama is telling them exactly what he wants and how he wants it and that is the way he wants Congress to write and pass it!
2007GT
not sure where you got the idea that Obama is "preoccupied with pushing his socialist health care agenda".. Because he never shuts up about it. Because he has his own variety show on tonight about it with a handpicked audience. with one go/no go requirement, that's paid for and doesn't add to the current deficit. That's easy. They will make up a ton of fake savings (we're going paperless etc. etc. blah blah blah) and say that the savings will pay for it. Then when the "savings" are revealed to be fake and nonexistent/unworkable they will say they miscalculated and that they have to steal more of our money to pay for it. He has at least delivered the promised "transparency". I can see right through him.

Yes, I'm aware. He talks about it and pushes it on the public every day. It's appalling. And don't think for a moment that his administration is not pulling strings on the democratic Congress behind the scenes. He's pushing this hard and using all his Chicago-style politics to get his way. But, not to stray too far from the topic - I see that Amadinejad is really telling Obama to stick it also! Maybe BO has figured out these guys (including N. Korea) will not be his friends after all? Is BO still inviting Iran to our July 4th celebrations? :happy feet:

stormeaston
Excuse me? That sir is a bold faced lie! Where did I ever say I was "ashamed to be an american"! I'm a proud American and a proud Veteran of 12 years and have ALWAYS stood by my country no matter what political party was in power. But you see this is what those of you on the right do. If you can't argue a point based upon facts, or if someone provides facts to refute your heated rhetoric you attack them, label them as "communists", even going so far, as in this case, to lie. So did you just have nothing better to do this morning so you figured you would come in here, not to discuss or debate, but to attack me and cast dispersions on my love of country. Is that all you got? BTW, the word American is spelled with a capital "A" you should be proud of that word and give it the respect it deserves. Oh and just to be sure I used our handy-dandy search for "ashamed" and/or "American and read through all my posts and other than a few "God bless America" comments I see nothing that be in any way interpreted as "ashamed to be an american". See................there's your lefty logic, kinda like OJ, he said he loved Nicole but.............killed her. Hmmm..........just think about all the false political crap you oozed last year at this time till November on this site, yeah.................. that kinda twisted love.
