nice :yup: now if they would drop the price a bit i would jump on them.

That's why I waited so long! Found a member on another forum that never installed them, and recently sold his car. So I got them for about $100 cheaper :happy feet:

Nice work! They look really nice, especially in the black SGT.

I installed the blue FRPP covers and I really like them a lot better than the stockers.

Question for you guys who have replaced your valve covers...Are there new gaskets that need to be purchased??? I'm thinking about just pulling mine off and painting them myself...unemployed and can't afford to buy the powder coated ones right now, but have plenty of time on my hands....So do I need new gaskets or can I reuse originals???

I dont think there would be a problem, they have a o-ring type seal. I looked into paying someone to powdercoat the stock ones but would of costed within $80 of buying new ones, I didnt think $80 was worth the hassle. Not sure if you have to use high temp. paint or not. Good luck

That's what I did. I didn't see a point to buying new ones if I could pull mine and paint with hi temp black paint in a can. Oh, I did replace my gaskets. I didn't want any surprises from going cheep on this project.

These "gaskets" aren't what you would think. They are as a previous poster stated more like an o-ring style. Most people just re-use without an issue.

The covers from FRPP came with a new one already in place on the gasket, so I used that one. I was prepared to re-use mine til I saw the covers had them.

No problem.

I followed a write up from TMS that helped out tremendously on this.

Only thing I would add is to go ahead and disconnect the coil overs and the plugs going into the fuel rail for each side as it makes the job a lot easier. The write-up doesn't speak to this til the second side.

Thanks for all the compliments.

I installed the blue ones as well. Got um for 235.00 from Gene Evans Ford at the 45th anniversary! Love the looks of the blue. Also installed a Anderson ford power pipe today as well.

Hey motorjock205 your bored, I can use a hand painting all my doors in my house white and the trim. Then fill in all the holes in my back yard that my dog made before the baby's birthday party. Then we can reseal my driveway and finish clearing my property change the babys diapers in between jobs. Then we start on gutting the kitchen is that enough to keep you busy and for your hard work, I'll buy you one valve cover. So come on up!!!

If you paint the outside of my house then both valve covers !!! and a cold soda :hysterical: :happy feet:

just curious. why did you leave the filler cap extension off?

Nice Catch.

You noticed that in the remainder of the PICS.

My opinion it looks better in person without the extension.

black wrinkle looks good! I also like the blue ones as well. Don't think you can go wrong either way. Wife and QP talked me into going with "chrome". I wasn't to sure about this, but both tell me this is what I need. We'll see. Craig

Pictures of the Chrome covers???????

i also think that there's too much black in there, but ave to say that it does look good on your black SGT.

I went with the chrome valve covers, only problem is i haven't been able to take a good picture of it .

they draw a lot of attention at car shows, and they're a lot of :censored: fun to clean it!!!! belive me!!!

I am thinking of the blue ones or buying some spare ones and having a paint shop paint them Grabber orange.

Grabber Orange Valve Covers would definately be UNIQUE on your car! I think those would look cool on there!

Post pics for sure if you do that!

One more question here on the original valve covers...can the original bolts be removed from the original covers so I can polish or paint them??? I saw someone say that there is something that holds the bolts in the covers...just want to make sure I can take them out of the covers so I can polish or paint...whichever I finally decide to do...
