TruFiber hood

Recommended Posts

Thats the one I like...

Me too, I think....seems like they are making the "nostrils" too large on some of these however. I do like the ram air, however...

+1

That looks a lot nicer than the TruFiber hoods for the GT's.

I guess I'll see how my experiment with cutting my OEM hood goes this week first. Hopefully I won't be in the market for one of these by Monday!

One of the guys on this forum has that hood on his '08. He got the latest hood scoop and stripes done on the stock hood, then packed that one away and installed the Cervini hood with painted stripes. Looks great!

You don't recall who? Sure would like to see the front and how it matches up before I order... :headscratch:

Thanks for the compliments guys. The Cervinis hood #1187 was my first choice when I started shopping around. Then I changed my mind to the '67 style when I started seeing more pictures of it on people's Mustangs. I think the profile is too large for my taste. I wanted something a bit more subtle. And while it doesn't draw cold air in, it does allow for hot air out of the engine bay.

Here's a couple of pics of #1187 on a California Special - same front fascia as the SGT and a couple others without the hood vents:

They look like different hoods. Some look like a box in back and some look like they taper lower at the rear. None look as good as a real KR hood does IMO. Too bad because that's what I was planning on going with. Dig-it's looks way better on the car but I wanted a '68/'08 40 years later kinda thing.
