RACERX009 Posted May 3, 2009 Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 I installed my line locks and have the Bama 93 octane race tune and 3.73 gears. I go to do a burn out dropping the clutch at 4000 rpm tires barely break loose a little tire smoke. Then the engine starts to bog out and no power checked no engine codes can my tires be that good on traction. I don't think so and trust me have done burn outs with my other cars it feels like the rev limiter is kicking in. Any ideas ???? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DID YOU REMEMBER TO TURN THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF. I WAS AT THE TRACK ONCE AND FORGOT TO TURN IT OFF , AND MY RESULTS IN THE BURNOUT BOX SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO YOUR DESCRIPTION OR MAYBE YOU NEEDED MORE WATER ON THE GROUND. GOOD LUCK WITH YOU DIAGNOSIS. SCOTTY (P.S.) ARE YOU RUNNING A DRAG TIRE OR RADIAL AND WHAT KIND ? I ASK THIS BECAUSE I DO THINK THAT YOU CAN GET GREAT TRACK OUT OF THESE CARS , BUT YOU GOT TO HAVE A SERIOUS SET OF WIDEN TIRES , WHEELS AND YOU CERTIANLY SHOULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH RWHP WITH THAT BAMA TUNE TO BREAK TRACTION. Thanks you hit the nail on the head totally forgot about traction control. I also have 20X10 on rear with radials and did it on dry ground.
