Open Track, Car Show, banquet, and more..

You're invited to join the SCMC for some on track fun at Virginia International Raceway. The event is our 10th Anniversary Celebration. The event consists of three days of open track with in car instruction available, a Saturday Mustang and Ford Show, and a Saturday night banquet.

The open track portion of this event is a school with in car instruction where you can safely drive your car the way it was built to be driven. This portion of the event is limited to the first 105 students/drivers.

Please be sure to download both the registration form and the events packet. The registration form is in adobe and MS Word in case you do not have the updated version of Adobe Acrobat.

Car show participants will get to take their car on track during lunch for "parade laps". A professional photographer will be available for you to purchase photos of your car on track and in action.

More information can be found here: http://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16584

Last year we had several Shelby owners at our event including Team Shelby. We hope to have more of you come out and enjoy the weekend with us. This year we'll be offering "hyper drives" which is a one session of 30 minutes with your car and an instructor there to help coach you on running track. This is just to help those of you that want to try open tracking to give it a shot. Your car must pass an inspection and we recommend getting e helmet for this event. We're going to try and have some loaner helmets before the event for those of you that do not own one.

Guys,

this is a must do. You WILL be hooked.

We will be there running the car and setting up as a vendor, so if anyone needs something let me know. You can save on shipping and cost if I bring it with me.

We have lots of pictures from last years event on our web site in the gallery section.

Jay

Early discount for this event ends this week. The $50.00 discount is for all Team Shelby members and SVTOA members, too. If you never tried going out on track and you don't want to spend all weekend running track then you can do one of the following:

Friday Only - Full course - $240.00

Saturday Only - North course - $195.00

Sunday only - North course - $195.00

Pick Friday for full course then do the Saturday car show. Do the show on Saturday and run track on Sunday. You can pick any combination you want, do one day or two or all three on track.

Don't want to run on track all day? Try one session with your car or "hyperdrive" for 30 minutes with an in car instructor. Enter the show on Saturday and at the end of the day, run one session with your Shelby for an additional $60.00.

Meet John Clor of the Ford Performance Group. Attend the banquet and learn some history about your modular Shelby. Meet a man who was with SVT for a long time and learn about its history.

Get a chance to win a 10th Anniversary jacket. Last year we gave away two jackets and everyone was gunning for them. Now you'll get a chance to win another unique jacket but the catch is you have to do the banquet in order to get an opportunity to win the jacket (s).

If you order JLT merchandise, let Jay know and he'll help you save on shipping by bringing it with him to the track. Install your JLT CAI and Dan from Pro-Dyno can tune your car right there to get you maximum performance out of your Shelby. There will be numerous people there that can/will help you install your axle back so you can get it all done while you are there for the weekend. CAI, Axle back, and tune....you'll walk away all smiles when you leave for the weekend.

Click the above links for more information.

Thanks!
