BSM
Anybody knows what a GT500 is selling in Western Europe? Also what kind of additional expenses(duties, ECT) are involved in importing a car there. Is there anyway of getting around the duties and potential taxes? Are there any services available? Does the GT500 have to be adjusted to European standards? Thanks! Peter
Snaky
Hi Peter It depens which country you mean. I live in Switzerland and also can give you some (just some) information about Germany. And it really depens if you just import a car as a "european-guy" from the States or if you emigrate for example from the States to Switzerland. If so and if you car is in your possession since more then two years than it counts as a "personal property imported by natural persons" and has other (easier) regulations. But to say it in short form: all taxes together between 15 to 33%!!! from the cars net price.... adjustment required for lights, probably emission (if it's not from California) and the worst thing: horrible noise reduction... Contact me if I can help you. Will do my best... sigrist.thomas @ hispeed.ch
