CANADA GUY Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 WAITED UP TO SEE WHAT THE 2010 GT500 AT THE AUCTION ( # 1347.2) WENT FOR AND SPEED Channel went off the air. Checked the b- j site and this item and the SCJ # 1347.1 COULD NOT BE FOUND. WHAT HAPPENED?? SET my pvr for no good reason. Waited a whole day to see this auction. Did they pull it ? or reschedule ?? Maybe Ron Pratt decided to buy direct? :unsure: Update! Just read in another part of the forum that Barrett-Jackson and Ford wanted Carroll Shelby to be there at the event when the 2010 Shelby GT500 went across the auction block, however, he was unable to make it due to a cold. People have to realize Carroll is no spring chicken anymore and he cant always be expected to show at all these events. Was part of the auction getting to hang out with Mr. Shelby? Am I missing something? I think the days of signed plaques and items will be coming to an end. He really needs to take it easy and not commit himself to anymore major events. Mr Shelby had no plans on attending BJ this year just like he didn't attend the Vegas BJ auction a few months back. The pulling of the 2010 GT500 is between Ford and Barrett Jackson.
