This years 21st annual Rocky Mountain Mustang Round-up will be held over Father's Day weekend June 18th-21st 2009 in beutiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Last year, the largest class of the show was the late model Shelby class. Luckily, this year they broke up that class between Shelby GT's and GT500's. This will be my 18th RMMR out of 21. This is always an absolutely beautiful weekend to be in Steamboat Springs. The views and drives are amazing, with some great roads. There were over 550 pre-registered Mustangs in the show last year, and this year is looking good also. The show includes a scenic drive on Thursday, an Autocross event on Friday, the Show and Shine Saturday right on the highway that runs through Steamboat Springs. The awards banquet/brunch is held on Sunday. There are always a few magazine writers for this event in attendance as they can always get some great material with this scenery. Dennis Gage shot an episode of "My Classic Car" at this event in 2007.

For anybody heading to the Mid-America Team Shelby Nationals the following week, plan to come through Colorado and be a part of this event. At least Mid-America is not on the same weekend this year. Be sure to pre-register as there is no registration at the show.

There will also be two separate FR500s cars in attendance, being brought out from Salt Lake City by the Mustang Challenge series. There will be one show car and one car to be used in the Autocross event on Friday.
