bztz4m
I have been asking around about the data tag inside the drivers door on my GT/CS at the bottom of the sticker is a series of number that begin with 1YYYYMMDDXXXX the digits 2 - 9 are the cars build date but I am wondering about the last 4 digits. I think it is the cars rotation number assigned at the plant as the car was going down the assemby line. So my question is are the last 4 digits the rotation number and based on that can you find out what car number was based on sequence number on the VIN and the rotation number. I looked at a old T-Bird registry which talked alittle about this. I am just trying to see what number my Mustang was for the 2007 model year. I hope this make sense. Frank S
Here's one. If others are even-hundreds numbers, it's probably not of much significance, don't you think?
bztz4m
I would like to see this, can you post a pic? Grabber does yours have this? I emailed Ford CRC with my question but I have not gotten an answer back on this. So I have been hunting around to different forums even blueoval.com to see if there was someone familiar with the assembly plant procedures. Here is the pic of my data tag on my '07 GT/CS
