People in the New york area paid $1,000 round trip last year. Would hope we would be less. Driving west in January could be very iffffyyyy Anyone willing to get cars transported out??? 07SGT0547 Posted October 13, 2008 Report Share Posted October 13, 2008 I checked with FedEx Custom Critical 2 weeks ago and it was $1,600 EACH WAY from KC... Then I asked my neighbor who hauls cars for several dealers in the Midwest and he also started out at $1,600... But if I could get at least 5 or 6 cars to make it a full load, then he would bring it down to $1,300 per car, each way... Don't forget that DIESEL fuel is still around $4/gal... And I don't think that it will get any cheaper as we head into the Winter heating season... But if someone has a better deal, then let me know...
