You have to resize them, I take them down to about 640X480 so they are about 150k. I then upload them to my web site and link to them here. Frank S Posted October 11, 2008 Report Share Posted October 11, 2008 An excellent program for readying photos for Web use is Irfanview: http://www.irfanview.net/ It allows batch processing, resizing, saving at appropriate "quality", and is a quick-loading and effective viewer. My posting choices are 800 pixels, or a bit more, on the long side, with quality about "40" for JPGs; less than that makes for not-too-pretty-good viewing; more than "60" wastes bandwidth, as the quality doesn't show up on computer screens. Under the Batch Processing feature, you can set a number of other parameters, including sharpening and color improvements. Except for the obvious cropped images, this entire album was sized and saved in about a minute, rather than the hours it might have taken if done individually: http://www.fototime.com/inv/11A123CD9A1ECA5 Irfanview should be on everyone's computer, seems to me. Tony there explains that Adam from England (who was riding with him) left his passport in his rental car, so the border patrol had to spend time and look up his ID and such.
