Breakfast Club

Since several people expressed interest in T-Shirts for the Breakfast Club last week, I thought it would be a good idea to come to a consensus on an official name. Don't worry about trademark/licensing issues. I've got that taken care of.

 

My thoughts on each:

 

Colorado Breakfast Club (CBC)

Pros: Identifies our location, kind of rolls off the tongue nicely

Cons: Does not identify us as a car club

 

Shelby Breakfast Club (SBC)

Pros: Identifies us as a car club, particularly a bunch of Shelby guys & gals

Cons: Does not identify our location

 

Colorado Shelby Breakfast Club (CSBC)

Pros: Identifies us as a car club and identifies our location, nice acronym

Cons: A bit awkward to say

 

Shelby Breakfast Club of Colorado (SBCC)

Pros: Identifies us as a car club and identifies our location, is less awkward than Colorado Shelby Breakfast Club, nice acronym

Cons: Still kind of long

 

I vote for Shelby Breakfast Club. It describes what we are (Shelby folks), and if we feel a need to identify our location on t-shirts, stickers, etc., we can add "Colorado, USA".

I voted for Shelby Breakfast Club (SBC - also known as Seattle's Best Coffee) but there is one more option:

 

Shelby Colorado Breakfast Club (SCBC)

Pros: Gets Shelby and Colorado in there, but not as long as Shelby Breakfast Club of Colorado. Both acronym and name roll off the tongue okay.

Cons: Still a little long

...I vote for Shelby Breakfast Club. It describes what we are (Shelby folks), and if we feel a need to identify our location on t-shirts, stickers, etc., we can add "Colorado, USA"...

 

 

I like that idea. It leaves things wide open for a standard club logo with other states, too, just in case others want to start something like this up. Just put your "chapter" under the logo... sort of like motorcycle colors.

 

Who knows, In a few years there may be a nationwide breakfast event somewhere.

Sorry if someone already brought this up... Shelby is a registered trademark (or whatever that legal mumbo jumbo is). I know they only charge $1 but Tony (twobjshelbys) was saying SAI is pretty finicky about usage.
