shelbymotorsports Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Steve In addition to the lower production the 1986 GLHS was also the first car produced from the newly formed Shelby Automobiles. It was also the first car to roll out of Shelby's own factory in almost 20 years. The 1986 GLHS is also faster than the 1987 GLHS, less weight for the 86, but the 1987 GLHS has a higher top speed because of its sleeker bodystyle. Then there are the personal reasons.
