oldimp
Check out the set offered on the Steeda site before you buy. They are shorter so they don't come so far down the edge of the engine compartment. Plus, they don't require any drilling. They are more expensive, but you guys have lots of dough anyway! flashfearless
I like my Quick Lifts from Redline very much. Only regret is that I didn't attempt to finish the mounting brackets in the color of the engine bay. Which would have been difficult because of their finish. But, as long as you (or your friend) knows what they are doing with a billet gun, these go on very smooth.

Hey Bub...long time, no chat. Hope you're well. I justy got back to town after a lengthy road trip (work). I spent my weekly allowance on the Steedas. They go on in about 15 min and it's a one-person job if need be. It'd be a little easier to match up the holes if someone helped with the trailing edge of the hood once it's up, but I did it with nothing more than a cup of coffee and a wrench. Also bought the Steeda dead pedal. bj

sandyman
What caps do you have on your radiator? Where did you get them? Thanks Search through their 05 Mustang stuff. flashfearless
I like MGW's items better because they don't "slip over" the existing oil caps and radiator caps. They replace them. http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_2005-present.shtml

They replace them. http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_2005-present.shtml I have the MGW E brake handle, radio knob and the cupholder bezel and they are high quality parts. MGW does not make the underhood stuff that shows on my Shelby.
kimbray
I thought MGW would work for the following applications: Radiator cap Intercooler cap Both use the same cap http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang2005_radiator_cap.shtml Oil cap http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang2005_oil_caps.shtml I even think the oil dipstick replacement works http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang2005_dipstick_handle.shtml Kimbray

The MGW oil cap won't work because they are the cam type and the GT5oo is screw. The MGW oil dipstick is a new piece and I understand some modification is needed on the dipstick to make it work, but I haven't seen one yet. kimbray
Sandyman, MGW has both screw adn CAM type Oil Caps. The GT500, per my understanding from BoneDoc is a screw type...
