COBRA SCOTTY Posted August 25, 2008 Report Share Posted August 25, 2008 THIS MUSTANGS MOTOR WAS BUILT BY PAULS HIGH PERFORMANCE IN JACKSON MICHIGAN FOR HAJEK RACING AND ACTUALLY HAD A TOP SPEED OF 251 MPH AT BONNEVILLE WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN THE WORLDS RECORD AND WOULD HAVE BEATEN MICKEY THOMPSONS ORIGINAL RECORD FROM 40 YEARS AGO. UNFORTUNATELY DANNY THOMPSON ; MICKEYS SON WAS UNABLE TO BACK UP THE 251 MPH TIME AFTER THE MOTOR HAD BLOWN IN THE MORNING RUN THE NEXT DAY. COVERAGE WAS ON SPEED TV'S WIND TUNNEL WITH DAVE DESPAIN SUNDAY NIGHT 8/24/08 AT 9:00PM HAD SOME COVERAGE OF THIS EVENT AND INTERVIEWED DANNY THOMPSON AND PAUL SVINICKI FROM PAULS HIGH PERFORMANCE.
