I might even put a photo of the car busted up on my visor so I won't. It's been tearing me up seeing it at the bodyshop for a month. But - I keep going back - First time in 40 years of driving, and how millions of miles? Ruf, you are too hard on yourself. This is what happens when you're 18 - not 56! I'll be much better when the car's back and I can "get back on the horse." And - I'm living in a small town - so EVERYONE knows who knocked down the wall! First car show is coming up at the end of the month. I'm going down to it with my C6 buddy! All depends on what I can get them for. $470.00 is about the lowest I've found them for. I'll see if Evolution sells them and what they want. My car is waiting in line for the paint booth - so they can shoot the left front and then assemble the other body pieces already painted. Maybe on Friday.... I gave my guy a 12 pack of Coronas to...keep me in mind! Can't wait to take "after" pics and post. The springs are just perfect. CDC wants pics, too, so I'll get the car on their website. The cop said someone called on me - I wasn't driving erratically or speeding - he claimed I "rolled" thru a stop sign (got a warning ticket for that) and he stopped me. (He's an ex-student of mine) Then he cuffs me (!) and takes me downtown where I blew a .14. Amazing. Apparently, I can get a provisional license to drive to and from work, etc - until the court date - then it's probably a year of the same. I'm talking to my attorney next week - we may have some wiggle room based on how the cop pulled me over (or why he did). What next? Car comes out tomorrow - and I can't drive it. While I'm standing in front of his cruiser - his backup ladycop calls a friend of mine (a Sgt on the force) and has he and his wife meet me downtown so she can sign for my bond. I didn't ask them to call anybody. How would ladycop know who I'd call?.... I'm going to look into this further. I have to go and access the college database and change that student's grade.....
