FordEvangelist
Ok, I only have 88 miles on the car so far but I have already noticed shifting patterns: * I take off in 1st and shift straight to 3rd or even 4th on occasion or * I take off in 2nd and shift to 3rd I have the 3.55 diff and 1st doesn't seem to last very long - can't imagine what it'll be like after the forced induction goes on Anyone else have a habit of taking off in 2nd? RUFDRAFT
Nope. I've never taken off in 2nd. I'm not in the habit of skip shifting (I used to do it in the Big Truck when I was empty). I just go through them one at a time. I'll skip shift when downshifting in a turn, though. The 4.10's are going to make 1st gear rather short! I generally skip 2nd and go straight to 3rd or 4th depending on circumstances.

But we all have to remember I come from the F150 world and things just don't happen as fast in the truck (supercharged or not!) as they do in a Mustang GT :-]
