SHELBYCS6
If anyone has a 2005 to 2006 Mustang modified or not and you experience any problem with surging, sputtering, stalling or hesitation on acceleration following a long cruise you probably require the fuel pump and sender unit replaced. Air bubbles can form around the fuel pump during a long cruise and can be ingested into the pump on acceleration causing hesitation etc. For me, it was any trip over about 20 minutes of HWY travel. This is not a re-call but the modification will be covered under warranty. The part number is 7R3Z-9H307-C (sender & pump assembly). I just had mine replaced and the car is like night & day.......it might just be me but I feel a difference even in normal driving response. I'm not certain if this issue applies to V6 only or V6 & GT models.
