ShelbyKindaGuy
Since the SGT has been lowered from SAI what are the largest tires that can properly fit (no rubbing the wells during cornering) for both front and back even if staggered? RogerS
I'm running 20" wheels and 255/35/20 Front and 275/35/20 Rear's BF Goodrich KDW in traditional thread pattern with no rubbing at all. The rim sizes are 9x20 front and 10x20 rear. Roger
ShelbyPilot
I had 285/30's on a 10.5 wheel. If I remember correctly a 40mm offset. I am awaiting a new set of 10" wide wheels but will be reusing the same 285/30 tires. One importnat thing with the wider tires is you will probably want to invest in an adjustabel pan hard rod or better yet a watt's link. When the Shelby GTs are lowered they use the stock pan hard rod. That results in the axle being offset. Before I installed a wattslink. My left was outside of the fender while the right was the same amount inside the fender. I think that was the way it was. It isn't noticeable with the stock tires but is very noticeable with wider rubber.
ShelbyKindaGuy
Folks I am keeping the stock rims on the car so for my question, staggered = tire size is staggered but rims are all original stock size. So what does that do for any of the answeres already provided?
AstroDan
Folks I am keeping the stock rims on the car so for my question, staggered = tire size is staggered but rims are all original stock size. So what does that do for any of the answeres already provided? It looks like 255/45/ZR18 is the largest you can go with 8.5" rims... Here's some info from BFG... http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs/g-force-t-a-kdw/22.html
