Rich two more for you; The first car (quarter window block off plates) was taken at SAAC 36 in NJ The second car (quarter rood scoops) was at Fords at Carlisle, PA 2-3 yrs back. richstang
Thanks Bud! Oh I've been wondering has there been any Alloy SS or Tungsten SS? Thanks Again! I get a bit mixed up on Tungsten, Vapor, and Alloy. Maybe someone can help me clear this up. Alloy is the darkest gray color like this correct? Vapor is the silver color like this correct? So is this tungsten or another vapor?

richstang
Rich - Thanks for adding all of the Cool Super Snake pictures. They look Great!! I saw your list of interests and "and yes even Cougars". Funny!! R No problem on the pics. They only look great because these SSs are such cool cars! I'm on a quest to get pics of every SS color in both a coupe and conv. I'd be glad to share them if there are any requests. I wrote that list of interests in the moment, thinking Cougars don't get much respect, and with the early years having engine options like Boss 302s, 427s, and 428CJs, they deserve a bit more. Rich When I was a kid my brother-in-law had a Cougar Eliminator. It was Grabber Blue w/Black stripe. I *think* it was a '68 but might'a been a '67. I know it was the coolest car I'd ever seen though! Sure do wish I had it NOW! Phill

Just a bit heavier and larger than the Mustangs. If it was grabber blue I say it was a '70. The Eliminators were intro'd in 69 and grabber blue was a '70 color. I have a picture from years ago of a grabber blue eliminator with a sunroof option. That one has to be a rare cat! Rich

I was a Sophomore in HS and I graduated in '73 so that would'a made it.....hmm, either '70 or '71 (depending on how early/late in the school year it was). He bought it brand new and I'm kind'a goin' with "early in the school year" so I guess it could'a been a '70 (sold prior to 1971). I do remember that he (my BIL) always said "it doesn't have the big (or good?) engine in it" so it was probably either a 302 or 351W rather than a Cleveland (or did they have a CJ/SCJ 'nine' in them???). Regardless, I've always LOVED the Eliminators, no matter what color they are. I also bought my wife a '67 Cougar later on in life with a 289/AT, White w/Red interior. It got wrecked parked in front of my house (a drunk in a '64 Impala hit it at full speed from behind, pushed it into a concrete wall and "mushed" it, then took off). If I could find another like it, i'd buy it for her "just because". It was a great car. Mustang, Cougar....damn near the same car. My dad also had a '65 Mustang, 289/AT, Yellow w/Black vinyl top/interior so Ford's have been in the famlily since I was little as my G-ma had a old ('49?) Ford too. And now we've come full circle, Phill Pollard - 2010 Mustang Shelby GT500 coupe

Has anyone seen this chrome SuperSnake from Dubia. It looks pretty cool to me!
