SLB8SNK
HOW IS THE WORK OUTLOOK IN VEGAS, AND WHAT DO YOU FOR FOR A LIVING AS I AM ALSO CONTIMPLATING THAT MOVE. NICE CAR Vegas is worse the MI where I came from. In MI, it was all auto related, here mostly casino. When either go slow, times are bad. However, Vegas is booming in some areas. Construction is still strong, even though housing is slow, new homes are selling well. The casino industry as a whole is slow, however 100,000 + jobs in the next year! So, depending on what you do, some good and bad news. I am a solutions provider for the casino industry, with software and hardware solutions. We are doing very well. SLB8SNK
Last comment from me on this subject. I have posted in several threads with regards to the KR exhaust. Bottom line, all I really want is a nicer sound, throatier, not to overbearing, yet says power! I like the stock exhaust when you jump on it, but when it is running, just to quite. I thought the first videos of the KR prototype had a nice subtle, yet throatier sound. That is the system I am looking for. I think the production system, is indeed different, and I do not want to change to H pipes, just want to take off the mufflers and replace with something that looks good, sounds louder and throatier, and is easy to do! Oh yea, and priced right. Bottom line, I was always lead to believe the SVT1, was that mod.
clutch
The KR exhaust tips are different than the M-5230-SGT which can be seen on this link: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_...rtKeyField=9872 The tips are from the Bullitt. But the mufflers are KR. Order both and volia.

chuckstang
The sound just doesn't come from the mufflers only, the added "H-Pipe" makes a different sound also (with an addtionial SAI mod done to it) & when both are combined together it has it's own Unique sound & can't be replicated unles you have all 3-components....H-pipe, Mufflers & the special mod part SAI adds to the H-Pipe Let me guess! Carol Shelby signs the mid pipe
clutch
That part number you gave us is for a different muffler, the KR mufflers have a different number and they are different mufflers I don't think so. If you have the part number, why don't you just list it for us right now so everyone can order? What is the benefit of waiting until you have the part???????? blown9350lx
I, eye, I want a set... :-) Alright heres the news I went to pick up the mufflers yesterday found out they would not sell them to me they are exclusively for the KR only these are the acual part numbers as a matter of fact he gave me the acual parts list it seems all the parts on the list are SAI part numbers and they will not release any part unless you can provide a KR VIN. So I ended up picking up the SVT1 mufflers. If anyone needs part numbers for anything KR just PM me. The kit for both on the list is SAIM5230KR KR has two KR's at the end my typo was late. clutch
1ZVHT88S785189885 Why don't you use this VIN??? See here's the deal. If dealers in the US are getting both cars and parts ( Canada has gotten neither to this point ) how is the parts fellow down your way not going to be able to give you those mufflers, if you furnish the above serial number? Are they going to check you out at the local DMV? The funny thing is you don't even have to show up in person. A phone call, credit card number and shipping address should suffice, no? You could be the first to "steal" a set of KR mufflers and post the pictures of your accomplishment. What is the worst that can happen? You're arrested for trying to buy Ford parts? I'll be doing this up in Canada as soon as I hear the parts have arrived.......
formervettowner
The KR mufflers are part # M-5230-SGT. I think you are right. I ordered a set of M-5230-SGT about a month ago and my dealer says they are on back order with no est time line. First I thought Ford just didnt pay their bills with Borla, but now I think they are using them on the KR with a different part number.
Son of GT
Borla (quite suprisingly) is not the company making the KR's mufflers, and because the M-5230-SGT mufflers are made by Borla, it doesn't make sense that they would be the KR's mufflers.
