SPRSNK
I went to the Ford website and they show the Vert with over the top stripes is this new for 2009? Can somone confirm this?http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/models/ That's a Supersnake they are showing a pic of. It does have the over the top stripes because SAI puts them on. As far as I know, the verts still don't have stripes over the top.

Just copy the link and paste it in your browser. When I clicked on the link earlier, it took me to this page: http://www.fordperformancegroup.com/ And that is actually a KR..not a Supersnake. My bad. Guess we'll have to wait for our dealers to respond to the actual question now.
Rag Top Day
I went to the Ford website and they show the Vert with over the top stripes is this new for 2009? Can somone confirm this? http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/models/ Red package is avalible for 2009 on coupe and vert. Only way I know to get vert stripes. Will need to check order book to be sure but pictures are not right check out red GT500 picture reversed. Snake in grill and antenna on drivers side Also has drilled rotors! http://www.fordperformancegroup.com/fordpe...mance/vehicles/
DoubleX
I went to the original Ford link, and sure enough one of the thumbnails is a GT500 Convertible with stripes (Blue with White Stripes to be exact). Obviously, the web/photoshop department doesn't know that 'verts don't come with stripes...except for the rare and elusive red stripe package

08redstripevert
It says in the description that the gt500 vert has "unique body siding stripes". Nothing about over the top

Nothing about over the top oh yeah i see that now. I guess ford was too lazy to get a vert pic and just chopped the top of the hardtop pic. sharabi
http://www.fordperformancegroup.com/fordpe...mance/vehicles/ Oh my goodness, what's up with the crap music going with the video, where the $ell the old music for the introduction video of shelby on SVT web site.....Darn it why ford has to screw up things...bring the damn SVT guys' web site back...those great people deserve recognition, that SVT site was what got me into shelby ESPECIALLY the video with its heart pumping music....not like the pimp song they have on now. AM so mad...
shack
If you look at the description, the coupe has "Over-the-top racing stripe and GT500® bodyside stripe" whereas the vert has "GT500® bodyside stripe" For a while when the color configurator was up for the 2008 model year, they showed Vapor stripes as an option for Vista Blue GT500 coupes. My dealer tried tracking that down for awhile. Eventually called Ford and connected to SVT hotline. Operator went to the site and remarked "Yeah, that's wrong, not sure what those web guys are doing." Checked back a week later and it was changed, BTW. Just another "we don't want to re-do our photoshop."
TexasShelby
I took delivery of my early 07 with the "LeMans" stripes painted on (listed as a customer requested dealer add on, on the invoice), and couldn't be happier. I'm sending a Cervini Speedster cover back to the same painter for paint and striping as well. And am thinking of having them paint the side stripes and bottom side valance as well.
