alyupe11
Hey Guys and Gals I went on the factory tour 6/23/08. What a great experience to see where our cars were transformed into the beauties they are today. To see their heritage what a great feeling. If you have the chance its well worth the hour tour and you won't get stranded on a deserted island and if you do what the heck you'll be surrounded by a bunch of Shelby's. A special thanks to the guy's at the factory.

mrhugger
Agree.I took the tour on 6/18 and it was great! Saw many supersnakes in process as well as the first KR's. Highly recommended when in the area. Steve

Budman340
I am heading out to Vegas for the drags in October. Is there anything special you have to do to get a tour? Yes sir, there is. First, you have to drive around the lot clockwise 3x. Then when you get out, you have to stand on one leg for 35 seconds, then you switch legs. After that, you need to find me and take me to the new Shelby Café for lunch. After lunch, you then go back to the museum for the FREE tour at 10:30 Ok, serious now-----we have FREE tours Monday-Friday at 10:30am. Closed on the holidays and weekends. The tour does take about 45 minutes or so. And it is really worth it!!!! After the tour, we can then go to lunch J/K Bud

mrhugger
I believe the tours are daily at 10:30 am sharp. The facility is located about 10 miles north of the strip. Recommend the Shelby Cafe for lunch.Steve
ejrail
I'll be there for the October/November drags, too. This will be my third AC Delco Nationals in a row but this time I own a Shelby GT instead of just drooling over them at the end of the parking lot fence. Planning to take the tour, lunch at the Cafe' and max out my card at the Gift Shop. This trip the casinos will be the losers as my $$ is going for some sure things. My previous employer has a branch in Vegas and I had to travel there on business monthly for 5 years. Yes, it really does snow in Vegas but it usually melts in an hour or so after it falls. It is the talk of the town when it does happen. I now work at a ski resort in Utah where we had over 500 inches this year and we didn't make the news once. Funny what a difference 400 miles makes. See you in earely November............ Erik 07SGT2940

SGT/SC2873
I met a guy this past weekend thru the local Mustang club who had been on the factory tour several weeks ago. I was so excited to hear all he had to say. (I will make it someday) Then I asked him if he got to meet Mr. Shelby, no....well, did you get to meet Bud, no.....ok, did you get to meet Ms. Amy, no....I then asked if he was sure that he went to the right place! He just laughed and said I met the tour guide. I asked who was that...don't remember. It was still fun hearing him describe all the various details. I can't wait to make the trip someday. Be like a kid in a candy store..... :happy feet:
