Another Shelby home in Virginia

Wednesday Aug 23rd had my shelby delivered to my house. Went to the dealer that morning 2.5 hour drive signed some papers, gave him more money, and than had the beast loaded on a truck to come home. Driving for 2.5 hours on a interstate is no way I wanted to break in the motor. Anyhow made a website for the GT500 instead of posting pictures. Have a few things I will be doing next week so later in the week will have more updates.

Enjoy,

Exhaust sounds great....When you start it up you know you have 500 hp... now the bad part.. on my 300 plus mile journey up the mountains of W.V. it was great I was hammering it and the exhaust was roaring, on the way home I came a route that was more straight away so for about 45 minutes no hills no nothing just level driving and even in 6th gear at 65mph the exhaust sound was a little more than I would have liked. I guess you can't have it both ways so if you were going to take a long trip with the car and this exhuast bring plenty of CD's to drown out some of the tone. Would I do it again....yes it is worth the rumble at highway speeds to hear it when you are on it. Performance wise... well only have about 400 miles on it so each day I put miles on it she runs better so can't really tell you how much of a difference it made. BUT I will tell you the factor mufflers are heavy as hell and these are light...also there is less restriction with the Ford racing (which by the way are made by Borla) so you do pick up power along with sound.

The floor mats are great.. the factory ones suck.. get a Fast Ford and Mustang magazine and the company I got them from have a 2 or 3 page add about 4 pages into the magazine. They show red with a mustang logo but call them and they will put a cobra on it. $ 74.00... well worth it.

Monday getting windows tinted, louvers installed, and rocker panels removed for paint... why Ford did not spend the .25 cents extra on paint I don't know. My neighbor has a GT and his are painted and it looks great.... he paided 20 some thousand and I paid 44K and don't have it... go figure :(

Next Mods once they are out and tested:

Cold Air Intake

Remap computer

Pulley Change

After some more miles (5000K) getting rid of the airplane gears for 3.73

I ordered black ones for my red Shelby today. since I don't have the red inserts on the seats.

The red and the black ones are on this page. The last post url did not have mats for the '05 thru '07 cars

The page I posted clearly states 05-07. That was the listing of all the mats available.

So you mentioned home in VA. Where in VA are ya. I have yet to see any out here close to Winchester. The dealer in Woodstock was running adds on the radio that they had Shelby's and Saleens. When I called they had like 2 GTs and 2 V6s. Great car! I want to order the same thing but I think I'll do a total stripe delete after hearing all the complaints.

First I am in Winchester Virginia, my first passion is street bikes.. have had about 8 in life time, my favorite is my Hayabusa http://www.flairphoto.com/busa.htm. Found out along time ago for all out performance the crotch rockets give the best bang for the buck... BUT the Shelby is a close 2nd :) Especially when I can start adding some HP to it :)

Will update some pictures first of next week. However have some pictures of the louvers and tinted windows that I just got done Yesterday. Have more stuff coming :) Also removed the black plastic rocker panels they are at the paint shop will have them hopefully this weekend :)

Pictures done with camera (they suck in quality) phone forgot real camera at girl friends.

Nice looking ride. Can't wait to see it around town. Well guess I'll have to rethink trying to get a red/white stripes. Maybe all red or all black.
