SCrowe
Is number 233 your original number or or the new revised number. I was originally 246 and moved up to 173 when some dropped out. When did you put your initial deposit down? I still have not been called, was told it would be another 2 months or so. Thanks for the update I had put my deposit fairly early but I think one thing that might have helped me is mine is a convertible. It appears that they might be doing so many convertibles along with so many coupes and it does appear that there are not that many convertibles being done. That is the only thing that I can come up with and I have nothing to base that on other than pure specualation. Good luck, they picked mine up today and it should be there by the first of next week. ORNGCRSH
To all you readers out there. I read this on AOL today. The topic was FAST CARS: THE 600 HP CLUB. The Super Snake is obviously what AOL was referring to............ I found it interesting that the Shelby GT 500's SS Program, although not worded as such, is in the same category as some of the most expensive EXOTICS, such as the Mercedes Mclaren, Bugatti Veryon, (1.5 Million), Corvette ZR1, Maybach 62, ($400K+), Ferrari 599, Lambo Murcielago Fast Cars: The 600 Horsepower Club Not quite production, but over 600 HP Most every American enthusiast knows about the $42,000 Mustang Shelby GT500. Its supercharged V-8 thumps out 500 horsepower. However, today there are dozens of equally powerful cars, so 500 ponies isn't much to brag about. A trip to Carroll Shelby's Las Vegas workshop with your GT500 and $28,000 gets you a 100 horsepower boost. Congratulations, for $70,000, you've discovered the cheapest way into the 600 Horsepower Club. Pretty encouraging!!

SPRSNK
Just for information, mine is being picked up this weekend and my number is 233. It appears that they are moving a little faster than I thought they would. Steve Crowe Oooo...I'd love to get that call. Would make my recent mods wasted on my coupe, but at least I know how to easily install them on my vert. For everyone else, I'm 08SS0234 and I haven't put down a deposit yet on either car. samkirch
Just wondering if anyone knows what # SuperSnake are we up to? Also, how many SuperSnake conversions are being averaged per month? thanks. I turned in 07SS0130 (Red Convertable) the morning of 5/29/08 to Shelby for completion. I hauled it 1.786 miles from Muscle Shoals, Alabama in an enclosed red car hauler in two days. Gas milage (7.6mpg), gas cost ($4+), road construction (Interstate 40), blowout, hills and a strong headwind made the trip rough. Fly back out to Vegas June 24th and hope it's finished or I wait. Left car hauler and Navigator in Shelby's fenced in lot. I was put on the 40th list February 19 2007, got a call from Shelby just before July 4th weekend and missed it, got back in touch July 10th and switched over to SS list and put my deposit down. My deposit cleared July 16th. Got call May 22nd and told Doug I would be there 5/30 or earlier. Spent four days in Vegas, lost 25 cents gambling (they don't build those big casino's on winner's and I don't throw money away).
dougaroo
No one had posted to this link for a while. Just wondered why interest dwindled so fast. My number is 240 and I've yet to receive a call. I'm gettin' a little twitchy.
