colt Posted August 21, 2006 Report Share Posted August 21, 2006 I got the called on 8/18 about 7 PM. I got down to the dealer about 1 PM the next day. About 3 PM I was on the road. So far I had about 90 + miles. How is the car? Well I'm still smiling. The drive from the dealer was on the freeway. This car is a true all around car. There are power even @ 2K RPM. I need time to break in. So for now I only rev up to about 3k+ and trying :D to keep under 70 mph. Lots of stares and comments. Ride was really better than I expected, braking is awesome, and it is just fun to drive. With the long drive home, I've put 700 miles on mine since saturday and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I flogged it from a dead stop on highway 300 in Texas with the traction control still on and was very impressed with the power. It has great pickup in third gear! Dave That is one of the reason I love this color combo. Fastbackman, So far I only had 130+ miles on my. I will try to get some owners in SoCal with their new Shelby to drive up to mountain Polamar.
